Racing2Day looks to benefit from US pool betting 12/02/2009
US-facing pool betting site Racing2Day.com went live at the end of last week. The site was founded by Vincent Caldwell, one of the founders of Isle of Man-based tote operator Betinternet.com, and developed by software solutions provider PDMS.
Racing2Day.com is licensed in the state of Oregon and aims to benefit from the popularity of pool betting in the US, where the number of unique visitors to egaming sites rose 11% to 16 million per month in November 2008, according to the company.
The site will feature racing content from the USA, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Asia, including high profile events such as the Kentucky Derby, Breeders’ Cup and Prix de L’Arc du Triomphe.
The content will be provided by third parties including Amtote and all systems were developed by PDMS with an emphasis on reducing software development time by standardizing 60% of its code.
