Ladbrokes Poker live on Microgaming network 10/02/2009
Ladbrokes Poker will be offering its players a higher liquidity and prize pools from today after merging with the Microgaming poker network. Ladbrokes announced that it would merge its previously stand-alone poker site with the rest of the Microgaming network back in August in an effort to compete against the high liquidity and prize pools offered by US and other European sites and networks.
It will offer a series of promotions for its poker players as part of the new launch that will include a multi-million dollar promotion where US$1m is paid out every month to 3,000 leading players and is ringfencing its own US Dollar currency tables up to and including US$2/US$4 in No Limit Holdem.
For Euro-tables up to and including €2/€4, it will operate a pooled network with Unibet in No Limit Holdem. Stake levels above this rate and all other game types will be offered via the Microgaming Network. Ladbrokes will continue to support its exclusive events and host its own tournaments in addition to the tournaments offered by Microgaming to ensure its customers have a greater variety and bigger prize pools to choose from.
Edward Ihre, managing director of Ladbrokes Poker, said: "Players will notice little difference to the service – they will remain Ladbrokes customers and can still use all the Ladbrokes features including 3D poker. The benefits will be that we can offer a greater range of game types and levels as well as the availability of games in Euros for the first time.”
