192business launches new German product 13/05/2009

ID-verification company 192business has launched a new German ID check solution using data sources including German credit-agency Schufa.

192business boasts gambling clients including 888, which signed up to the service last month (more).

The Schufa data enables 192business' German ID check solution to verify the names, addresses and dates of birth for 65 million German adults.

192business product director Grant Greenwood said: “The latest stats show that Germany is home to the most online consumers in Europe and by 2011, 43 million Germans will buy online. We want to help our clients to benefit from that market”

The Schufa deal follows an identical move by GB Group last month, as reported on EGRmagazine.com (28 April).

Schufa COO professor Dieter Steinbauer added: “For SCHUFA it is vitally important that we extend our reach beyond our own borders and develop a strong platform of international activity”.

192Business claims to be the first ID check specialist to offer ID check tools to meet the compliance requirements of the 3rd EU Money Laundering Directive across more than one market.
