EGR Morning Snapshot: LSE to launch egaming valuations; Virgin, Bodog88 21/05/2009

New research by the London School of Economics (LSE) claims to have produced an exact means of valuing the user data held by eGaming acquisition targets (more).

Haydock Sports has launched its Asian-facing Bodog88 website, with a live casino to be supplied by Entertasia. Bodog’s Asian operations started as 9play and have now been transferred over to Bodog88.

 
Boss Media’s Aladdin’s Lamp €5m progressive casino jackpot has now topped €2m, which the company says makes it one of the largest available at any online casino.
 
Virgin Bingo has relaunched on the Virtue Fusion network, the plans for which were first reported exclusively by EGRmagazine.com (more). Virgin Games’ bingo solution was previously provided by St Minver.
 
Gambling Commission research has revealed that over the year to March 2009, the percentage of adults partaking in at least one form of remote gaming activity in the previous month has grown to 9.9%, from 9.7% for the calendar year of 2008.
 
The US state of California has rejected emergency budget measures designed to fix the state's budget crisis, providing a major fillip to a framework bill proposing to raise revenue by taxed, legal intrastate online poker as early as next year (more).
