EGR Morning Snapshot: PokerStars, Full Tilt recover; Gaming VC buys Betboo; June's top 10 bookies... 02/07/2009

PokerStars has bounced back strongly from the US authorities’ squeeze on poker payment channels, new data from poker website traffic monitoring site PokerScout reveals, while rivals Absolute Poker, Cake Poker and Ultimate Bet have succumbed to the summer lull.

Gaming VC has acquired Latin American online gambling business Betboo in its latest attempt to diversify away from the German market.

Bet365’s share of traffic from leading odds comparison site Oddschecker dipped for the first time in eight months in June, allowing Betfair to retain its place as the site’s top bookmaker, a ranking of the June’s top 10 bookmakers on Oddschecker seen exclusively by eGaming Review reveals.

The Microgaming Poker Network has launched new Survivor Tournaments, a new tournament poker play, as well as two new daily poker tournaments this month, Breakfast and Bedtime Bounty.

Virtue Fusion has launched three new progressive jackpot scratch cards. Beachside Bonanza will be launched on 21 July, followed by Arabian Delights and Beat The Banker on 28 July.
