EGR Morning Snapshot: William Hill Online COO says get tough on rakeback ; NetEnt Paf deal; Betting Promotion... 03/07/2009

Net Entertainment (NetEnt) has struck a licensing deal with Paf under which the online casino software supplier will provide download and browser-based versions of its CasinoModule product suite to Nordic operator Paf for a four year period.
 
William Hill Online chief operating officer Peter Marcus has issued a rallying call to poker operators on rakeback, calling on them to “get together and be strict” on allowing affiliates and poker skins to offer the controversial rewards model.
 
Market maker Betting Promotion's net turnover fell by more than half in the second quarter of 2009, dropping 51% to SEK9.6m (£750,000, €878,000), from SEK19.6m in the previous quarter due to “volatility” at the end of the football season.
 
Betfred has re-launched its site to offer new players “in-depth betting guides, glossaries and up-to-date stats”, as well as a ‘Live Chat’ customer service facility. As reported on EGRmagazine.com, Betfred is switching bingo providers from Playtech to Virtue Fusion.
 
Imperial Casino has also re-launched its site to include more jackpot information and more customer support.
 
Unibet did not repurchase any of the €100m bond used to acquire online bingo operator Maria Holdings during the last quarter, leaving the outstanding amount of the bond at €65.8m, a market note issued today said.
