Media Corp to relaunch Gambling.com with new SEO partner 16/10/2009
MEDIA CORPORATION, the AIM-listed advertising network and online publishing group, has signed a deal with search engine optimisation (SEO) business On-e Media to jointly re-launch Gambling.com.
On-e Media will promote Gambling.com to gain higher visibility on search engines, and has secured partners to provide a sports betting, poker, casino and financial betting offering.
The deal will supply Gambling.com with unique content and information on bonuses, odds and competitions, as well as videos and image content.
The new site is scheduled for launch next month.
Media Corporation was known as Gaming Corporation until 2006, when the business changed its name. The company was hit hard by America’s Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of that year, which effectively banned online gambling in the US, where the Gambling.com brand was most lucrative.
Gambling.com managing director Sara Vincent (pictured) said: “Since the US ban [UIGEA] Gambling.com has been re-positioning itself, and with the help of On-e Media we will be able to monetise previously untouched revenue streams. We are very happy to be making positive steps towards rebuilding the Gambling.com brand and portal site into the prime destination site for gamblers..”
As revealed on EGRmagazine.com on Tuesday, Media Corp is buying online casino, poker and sportsbetting.site Purple Lounge as part of an M&A trail that will also include acquisitions in sports betting and bingo.
Media Corp is comprised of two main divisions, its Eyeconomy advertising network and a website publishing arm.
