LADBROKES SPORTS AND FOOTBALL director Patrick Jay has quit the business for a role heading trading operations for the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC).

Beacon Bingo’s new web operation is to slash its profit margin to half that of rivals in a radical gambit to build player loyalty, online manager Chris Drake has pledged.  

Gala Coral bingo and casino managing director Simon Longbottom is leaving the business to re-join the pub trade, the second change to the executive line-ups of major UK operators this week. 

Betfair Australia has accused the NSW racing industry in court of trying to “eradicate” its business by levying product fees on turnover rather than gross profit. The betting exchange’s barrister, Tony Meagher, was speaking on the sixth day of a Federal Court hearing into a case brought by Betfair Australia against Racing NSW and Harness Racing NSW last October, based on Section 92 of the Australian Constitution, which protects free trade between states. 

Testing specialist TST Global’s commercial director, Anna Sainsbury, has left the company. Sainsbury, who has been with TST for the past five years and was instrumental in developing the business in Asia and Europe, told EGRmagazine.com that she would be taking some time off before beginning consultancy roles in both the online and land-based gaming sectors.  

Betaland, the newest brand of Gaming VC, has become the first licensee of Chartwell Technology’snewly launched Alderney-based gaming platform. The Betaland brand targets English, Italian, Hungarian and Romanian speaking markets. 

GoWild Casino is launching an affiliate programme using Income Access marketing software. Affiliates are offered 50% flat revenue share for the first two months and up to 50% for lifetime.
