Beacon Bingo hires club managers as affiliates

BEACON BINGO, the company behind UK bingo clubs including Beacon Cricklewood in north London, the biggest bingo club in the world, and the Showboat chain of adult gaming centres (AGCs), is to reward its club and AGC managers as affiliates.

Beacon owns 26 Showboat AGCs and six bingo clubs including Cricklewood, which has space for 2,700 players, and launched its BeaconBingo.co.uk online offering in November 2009.

The new rewards scheme was announced at a special meeting today. Under the initiative, Beacon will credit the clubs and AGCs with 25% of the live gaming win generated by customers who registered with Beacon online through the scheme, with the new income incorporated into the profit & loss accounts of the individual clubs or AGCs on which management bonuses are based, regardless of the overall group’s performance.

Interactive operations manager Chris Drake said: “The club managers are very influential because their customers are right in front of them, not scattered all over the internet. Not only that, but they are the sort of customers who tend to be very loyal compared to the typical online player, who hops from site to site. We think this initiative makes perfect sense for both sides of our business.”

The Beacon Bingo Affiliate Programme was launched at the start of this month on the Virtue Affiliates Network.
