Playtech re-shuffle sees Asian Logic's Tom Hall leave board; Ladbrokes top job; Sporting Index; Beast; Oracle, Sun; Paythru...

PLAYTECH has restructured its board to comply with the code of corporate governance, with former chief executive officer and current non-executive director Tom Hall, chief executive of Asian Logic, to resign together with executive director and chief operating officer Rafi Askhenazi.

Hall and Askhenazi have served as directors since Playtech's admission to the Alternative Investment Market in 2006. The company has appointed Barry Gibson as an additional independent non-executive director. Until June 2009, Gibson was senior independent director at William Hill, where he was on the board for seven years, and is the former chief executive of Littlewoods, which at that time incorporated Littlewoods Pools and Bet Direct.

The Times newspaper is tipping Sporting Index chairman and former lawyer Richard Glynn as favourite to take over as from outgoing Ladbrokes chief executive Chris Bell, who is stepping down this summer after 20 years with the company. The paper had previously tipped Glynn as joint front runner with Andy Harrison, the departing boss of Easyjet, but Harrison last week said he is to join Whitbread, owner of the UK’s Premier Inn hotels and Costa coffee shops, as chief executive.

Beast Affiliates, a white label client of software solutions company Income Access, has launched an affiliate program for Shootjack.com and BingoHour.com. An exclusive deal for Income Access affiliates offers 35% revenue share, plus £5 CPA per player if they send more than five new depositing players in March 2010.

Mobile payments business Paythru has launched InstantBet, a new specialist mobile payment service based on paythru’s highly secure mobile payments platform which allows operators to let customers top-up their accounts via their mobile phones.
