News in brief: PokerStars freezes accounts after bots investigation; CryptoLogic signs Tain deal... 19/07/2010
PokerStars has frozen ten player accounts after an internal investigation provided evidence they were being operated by computer programmes or 'bots'. This followed the operator being alerted by a posting on poker forum 2+2 to suspicious activity on some accounts. Poker rankings site PokerTableRatings claimed in an article on its site that the accounts had collectively played at least eight million hands, generating nearly US$187,000 in rake and making US$57,000 in profit.
CryptoLogic has launched and licensed its Instant Click solution to gaming platform provider Tain, allowing the swift roll out of CryptoLogic's games to third party platforms.
