EGR: Your launch of the English Poker Open was obviously a highlight, but what has been the focus of your core business recently?

Karim Wilkins (KW): We spent the last year buying stuff. We bought Rakeback.se, Rakebucks.com and Rakefreeze. We will look to keep acquiring, but there’s not a lot out there to buy any more other than the three or four main guys we compete with. It hasn’t been a cheap year!

EGR: What do you see ahead for the poker affiliate space this year?

KW: One thing being talked about and something we would be open to receiving calls about is poker rooms and networks buying affiliates. There’s definite potential for super big deals to be done, buying the Poker Listings, the Poker News’, the RakeTheRakes. It would be pocket change for the big players to buy a big affiliate for six, seven times multiples, and you are buying a database with, especially from the rakeback perspective, a hundred thousand, loyal, active, higher-than-average raking players.
